Hide & Seek in development for Autumn 2016

Freedom fighters or terrorists?

In 1605 it was against the law to be Catholic. Robert Catesby led 12 young Catholic men into battle against King James I and his brutal anti-Catholic regime. Fighting for freedom to follow a faith they believed in became a race against time as a meeting on 5th November was to secure new laws to punish these ‘insurgents’. Catesby employed explosives expert Guido Fawkes to prepare for one of the deadliest attacks in history – one that never happened!

Building on our schools tour in 2012, we’ve begun to look again at the stories and plan how to engage young audiences in exploring these stories of persecution, plot, the plotters and power struggle. Touring in Autumn 2016, Hide & Seek is a participatory theatre event, suitable for 11 to 14 year olds (school years 7 to 9).
