20 Mar COVID-19: The Vultures’ Song Tour Cancellation
THE VULTURES’ SONG TOUR CANCELLATION ANNOUNCEMENT
It is with real sadness that, due to current government guidance, we have cancelled the remaining dates of The Vultures’ Song tour:
- 26th March – Pyramid Theatre, Leeds Student Union
- 27th & 28th March – Mind the Gap Studios, Bradford
- 4th April – Helmsley Arts Centre, Helmsley
- 8th April – HOPS at Hawksworth Wood Village Hall
- 24th May – The Civic, Barnsley
We have worked with the venues to reach the difficult decision to cancel, and feel it is the best way to ensure the health and safety of our audiences, actors, creative team and the venues’ staff.
Other ways to experience the show
Even though you won’t be able to experience the full show at a venue near you, we have various ways to add a bit of vulture-ness to your day – particularly good for keeping everyone entertained while schools are closed:
-
Watch the film
You can watch a filmed version of the full show recorded at Square Chapel Arts Centre: https://youtu.be/J2CbApty2xs.
-
Family activities
We’ve got some great creative activities for you to do as a family, inspired by the show. Click below to download the activities.

-
Secondary School Tasks
For pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4, we have resources for schools that relate to various parts of The Vultures’ Song film and link to the drama curriculum – useful for older learners at home at this time. Click below for the tasks.

-
Primary School Resources
We’ve also got some great resources for teaching in primary schools which link to film clips, so pupils don’t necessarily have to have seen the full show to do these classroom activities. Click below for these resources.

Prospero
This is an interactive website by C&T offering lots of ways to explore the performance. You can see clips and interviews with the cast, find out more about the inspiration behind the show and get involved. You have to sign up for an account (there’s no cost to this and you won’t be bombarded with emails) but then you can access everything on there to do with The Vultures’ Song: https://prospero.digital/s/blah-blah-blah.
We’d like to thank all the venues on The Vultures’ Song tour for their hard work and support at this difficult time. We hope to work with you again in some capacity in the future.
Our warmest and very best wishes go to everyone in the uncertain months ahead. We’d love to stay in touch; please sign up to our mailing list at: admin@blahs.co.uk.
